ollowing successful introductions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania, Delirest’s dedicated school brand, Primirest, is now launching in Hungary. Across our partner countries, we provide daily meals to tens of thousands of children—from kindergarten to high school—in nearly 300 educational institutions.
In Hungary, Delirest (formerly Eurest) has been active in school catering for more than 20 years. With the introduction of the Primirest concept, we are now placing this service on entirely new foundations.
Our concept goes beyond traditional catering. Primirest offers a comprehensive, modular service package that is fully customizable. We adapt flexibly to local needs—because for us, shared success is the most important ingredient.
Our activities are built on three key pillars, taking into account every stakeholder involved in school catering: children, parents, and institutional staff.
A modern school lunch is a consciously designed experience that supports students’ health, development, and overall wellbeing. For today’s children, freedom of choice is no longer a luxury—it is an expectation. That is why every Primirest restaurant offers choice. This not only encourages children to enjoy and consume the meals they select, but also significantly reduces food waste.
We continuously strive to minimize our environmental impact. We use seasonal, diverse ingredients and are gradually increasing the proportion of plant-based dishes on our menus.
Recently, we opened Hungary’s first Primirest restaurant at Gloriett Sportiskolai Általános Iskola in Budapest. In addition to a modern self-service counter, the space features a selective waste sorting island and educational materials designed to promote conscious eating habits among students.
Our goal is to gradually introduce the Primirest concept across all our existing partner schools, and we warmly welcome new institutions interested in joining us.
