One Million Forints Donated to the Mellrákinfo Association
For the third consecutive year, we joined the Mellrákinfo Association’s breast cancer awareness gastro campaign, Pink Gasztro. This year, we reached an even wider audience than before: in more than fifty of our restaurants, we were able to share the vital message of prevention and early screening with tens of thousands of guests every single day.
Each year, our colleagues prepare for campaign week with growing enthusiasm and creativity. They dream up a variety of pink-themed delicacies, create eye-catching all-pink installations, and proudly wear pink ribbons—including our male colleagues. We do all this to draw attention to the importance of prevention and early diagnosis.
In Hungary, nearly 9,500 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year—meaning one in ten women will be affected during her lifetime. Yet when detected early, the disease is highly treatable: the five-year survival rate is close to 95% with timely diagnosis.
This year was especially meaningful as Halom Bori, President of the Mellrákinfo Association, personally visited several of our restaurants during the campaign week. Her inspiring presence and infectious enthusiasm made the entire initiative feel even more vibrant and, as many of us said, even more “pink.”
As in previous years, Delirest is proud to support the Association’s dedicated work. This year, we contributed a donation of 1,000,000 HUF to further their mission.
And one thing is certain—we’ll be diving headfirst into pink whipped cream again next year.
