As a responsible workplace catering provider, we are strongly committed to reducing food waste.
Throughout our operations, we apply numerous industry best practices—from responsible procurement policies and efficient ordering to optimized storage and production planning—all designed to minimize waste. Unavoidable food waste (such as bones or plate leftovers) is safely collected and recycled with the support of our contracted partner.
Now, we have successfully added another important link to this process: the rescue of freshly prepared but unsold meals.
In September, as the first company in the workplace catering sector, we signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Food Bank Association. Through this partnership, surplus meals can be redistributed to people in need, with full compliance with food safety regulations.
We are especially proud that during our Food Waste Awareness Week we were able to launch our first two projects together with our partners. The initiative has started in Tatabánya with the support of Coloplast, and in Budapest at MOL Campus. Our goal is to gradually expand the program to more of our locations, enabling us to support an increasing number of social institutions with rescued meals.
