Our short story
From 1992 to 2022, we were known as Eurest, part of the Compass Group. We began in Hungary with a single location and a small team, and over the years grew into a market-leading company generating HUF 27 billion in revenue.
Our journey has been remarkable – from the humble beginnings of kitchen staff serving through small windows to the modern restaurants and kitchens we operate today. Many of our colleagues have been with us since the 1990s, and our story has grown together with them.
We started by removing the service window, bringing the food out into the guest area and introducing self-service counters. Later, kitchen technology innovations – often serving as visual highlights – were also placed in the customer area. Today, with our ‘Choose Your Own’ concept, that was introduced by us first in our industry, everyone can choose exactly the dishes and portions they want.
The challenges of the 2000s shaped our approach, making us more efficient thanks to our multinational background and enabling us to offer smart alternatives to our Guests and Partners. Even during the Covid period, we operated safely and reliably, supplying hospitals, schools, and industrial parks without interruption, while retaining nearly all our employees.
Since 2022, we are known as Delirest.
Chances are you’ve already visited one of our restaurants—after all, we are Central Europe’s largest catering company across four countries. Under our new name, we continue to operate independently, now guided by Hungarian owners who have been shaping the company for over 20 years.
