October 1 marks World Breast Cancer Day, and the entire month of October is dedicated to awareness, prevention, and supporting breast cancer campaigns.
Through the recommendation of a committed colleague, we connected with Bori Halom, President of the Mellrákinfó Association, one of Hungary’s leading voices in the movement. From the very first moment, a shared sense of purpose and mutual trust quickly shaped a joint campaign. Within days, over thirty of our restaurants expressed their willingness to participate and support the initiative.
Bori provided us with campaign communication materials, and in the last week of October, our expert teams put their creativity to work. A variety of pink-themed dishes and drinks were prepared across our locations, spreading the campaign’s message far and wide—especially through our workplace catering services, reaching thousands of employees daily.
Over the course of one week, more than 1,500 pink items were served. We hope this helped raise awareness and fostered a more conscious, sensitive approach to the topic among our guests, colleagues, and partners.
During the same period, our teams also participated in the Public Catering Chef Competition, where both the Delirest Savaria and Delirest Szeged teams proudly wore pink ribbons on their jackets—a gesture noticed and appreciated by the judging panel, highlighting our company’s commitment to social responsibility.
We sincerely thank all colleagues, chefs, and restaurant managers who contributed their enthusiasm and creativity to the campaign. With the positive feedback received from partners, guests, and our own teams, we hope to expand and enhance this initiative next year—reaching even more locations and making an even greater impact for this important cause.
